Artists in the outdoor arts spend a lot of time travelling from home to festival and from festival back home or to the next festival. Thousands of kilometres are travelled each summer, mostly by air or road. In times of climate crisis we should try to avoid unnecessary kilometres.
Festivals are key to change this, simply by trying to co-book with other festivals. Eco-operation is a European initiative that aims to provide bookers with simple tools in order to find potential events in the same time frame and within a reasonable distance from each other.
Getting in touch with other programmers, even if you don’t know them, is just a matter of a few clicks. Besides saving the environment, this can also save a lot of money!
During Spoffin PRO we will discuss the possibilities of such a cooperation (and other possible solutions). We will try to overcome the last hurdles to make it happen.
